Up with the early bird this morning. Big allergy attack at 5 am. Hopefully the little pill will kick in any minute.
I should probably just go out to the studio and get to work, as I’ve got plenty of it to do before I take off for Resolved on Friday morning and just plan on a little afternoon nap or something.
I should get started on my other website. I really need to redo thestickhouse.com to have a clearer TV/film/composery focus. Maybe I can work on that during down times at Resolved or something.
I should probably be up like this everyday to read and study to be a better follower of Jesus. Lame how my time management skills seem to push this aside.
Well, if nothing else, it’s gonna be long day.
My ride to ABQ for the #nwlc10. Should be a great week of music, classes, and hanging with cool peeps. Hopefully I make sense teaching! Ha ha!
Electriciany stuff is annoying. Why would one circuit of my studio’s low voltage light system suddenly stop working? I switched the transformer and the lightswitch and neither of those were the problem. What else is left? The actual wiring? How can that go bad? And, of course, it’s the main circuit that lights the bulk of the room. So, now I’m sitting in the dark.
Anyone coming the the Nat’l Worship Leader Conference in Albuquerque next week? Come to one of my classes, I’m going to be giving away some Christmas CDs I produced a few years back that has hip arrangements of Christmas standards that are easily singable by your congregation. I’m making the charts available online for free too!
It’s grey and probably going to rain outside today. It’s June 4th. This is California. We should be complaining about the heat by now. Weird.
Headed back up to Sac after a few fun days in LA. Final mix tweaks at Scott Frankfort’s great studio and then a beautiful drive up to Ojai for mastering at the renowned Mastering Lab. I wish you all could hear the record like that!
The record sounds great and really came together as a whole as we finished it up. I’m extremely proud of this record, both musically and sonically. And it’s one the best groups of people to work with, period.
Mastering at the highest level is voodoo magic.
Last day of final mix tweaks on the Enfield record before mastering tomorrow! No pressure or anything.
Where I’m hanging out for one more concert. No, I’m not really a drummer.
Saturday fun.
